Cartridge, the “heart” part that affects the service life of the faucet. How should we choose?
1. Ceramic cartridge
Ceramic cartridge is the mainstream cartridge on the market. It is wear-resistant, high-temperature-resistant, aging-resistant, not easy to rust, has good sealing, long service life, and less water pollution.
2. Stainless steel cartridge
Stainless steel cartridge has higher technical content and is priced higher than ceramic cartridge. It is not easily affected by impurities in the water. It is more practical to use this cartridge in areas with poor water quality. In addition, the handle of the stainless steel cartridge has a large angle in the area where the water temperature is adjusted, which can accurately control the water temperature and ensure that the hot water flows out quickly, thus saving energy.
3. Brass cartridge
Brass cartridge is the heaviest and most expensive type of cartridge, and has high requirements for copper quality. Bad copper materials are prone to rust, accumulate scale, and affect water quality.
In short, if corrosion resistance and durability are considered, stainless steel cartridges are a better choice, especially for home use and high-demand environments. If cost and ease of processing are considered, brass cartridges may be more suitable for some industrial and commercial applications, especially in occasions where material requirements are not particularly high. If the highest cost-effectiveness is considered, ceramic cartridges are recommended.
